Blessed...

As you read this post over Thanksgiving, I will be away celebrating with my family. And for that reason alone, I am thankful. Thankful for their love and support. Thankful for my loving husband and best friend of 5 ½ years. Thankful for my mom’s love, friendship and awesome home cooking. Thankful for the endless laughs that I’ll endure over the long holiday weekend. At my stepfather Phil’s expense. Thankful for my dad and wicked stepmother Viki. No poisoned apples so far. Thankful for my sisters Ali, Linda and their families. Never a dull moment with those guys around. Thankful that my fearless brothers T.J. and J.J. survived numerous near death experiences. Evil Kenevil is NOT to be outdone guys! Thankful for all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and kin folk. Family reunions are not the same without them around. Thankful for the memories and holiday traditions that I’ll forever cherish. Thankful that my loved ones are safe and healthy. Thankful for those in Afghanistan and Iraq fighting for my freedom. Thankful for my friends (both blog and otherwise). You know who you are. Thankful for all the comforts of my home and life. Thankful for my pets Dixie and Fatboy for they keep life at home interesting. Thankful for my love of photography and the joy that it brings to others. Thankful for the endless supply of inspiration. Thankful for my job and that I am not among the homeless. I am truly blessed to have all I need and know that anything beyond that is just icing on the cake. Thankful for my newly built church for I look forward to attending many a services there. Most of all, I'm thankful for my savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with the life that I live. Yeah...I think that about covers everyone. I Love You All.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

There's Something About Mary...

Everyone, meet my niece Mary.

Mary, these are my readers.

She’s from NY and recently came to Florida for a visit. That and to see one of NASA’s few remaining shuttle launches. It’s always fun when Mary visits. She fills us in on the fast paced life in New York city. Expensive stores, endless crowds and even more expensive dining experiences. And we fill her in on the relatively slow life here in Florida. Beaches, Disney,  inexpensive shopping, late night movies and pizza. I don’t think I’d survive living in NY city. Too much hustle and bustle for my blood. As Mary was here, I took it upon myself to make her my next victim model. Poor thing.

Foto Fun Friday...

The Brave One

I love these guys. Been awhile since I've seen ducks in my backyard. I scared 3 other ducks that were on that fountain away even though I approached them slowly. Oh well. Just glad I got this one to stick around. I sat as still as I could in wet grass to keep him from getting scared too. Yeah. My butt got wet but it was worth it. Hope he's happy. :D

the brave one...

Have a good weekend everyone.

p.s. I added a new card to my store.

Me And You And A Dog Named Boo

Went to the local park with Dixie over the weekend and boy was I surprised. She must have alerted Scotland Yard ala 101 Dalmatians style and told other dogs about my pet photography abilities. I got some mad skillz. Yo! **Ahem** As I was saying, they must have either heard of me or seen Dixie’s photos because there were tons of gorgeous pooches lining up to get their picture taken.

First up was the hazel eyed border collie. The eyes kill me.

because I'm like that...

As you know, I like to have fun with photography.
Otherwise, what's the point? Right? Right!
Yeah. It was time for a photo of me.
Channeling my inner dorkness.
Or possibly Amelia Earhart?

DORK!

When I don't make Dixie model for me.
My next victim is my husband David.
He has no problem being dorky either.
He may be channeling Sir Edmund Hilary.
We dorks stick together. Yo.

Sir Edmund Hilary

Well I hope this made your day or it at least made
you laugh so hard that you spit out your drink.
My work here is done.

Until next time.
